It was confirmed that Goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson would return to The Colls this, season, following signing from Nostel MW in October. We caught up with the stopper to discuss his return and more…
Welcome back Lloyd, you joined the club at the midway stage in the season. What made you want to return for another year at The Colls?
I really enjoyed my time here since I joined. I can feel something happening here, either this season coming up or in the near future and I wanted to be a part of it.
You joined at the midway stage, which saw our league form improve. What are you looking for from the season ahead?
I think having a solid pre season and having a good start to the season is key for us wanting to push on this year. That wasn’t the case in the league last season and I was happy to be part of the improvement in form, which saw us finishing in a respectable place in the league.
We’ve have seen a couple additions in defensive areas, including retaining other key players how important will those players be for you this coming year?
The amount of retained lads this season is pleasing as I think the key to success in non league is keeping a tight nit group together. Also seeing some new faces coming in is always a plus. The addition of a new gk coach Jay is exciting and I’m looking forward to working with him.
Finally, what are your aspirations for the coming season and as a keeper do you set yourself any targets?
I’m not a target setter personally, but I pride myself on clean sheets so hopefully plenty of them next season.
