Spratt | “The club as a whole has so much potential!”

Having confirmed he will remain with the club for a third year Harry Spratt and co are looking to push on again, we caught up with your Colls Vice Captain to discuss his return;

Spratty welcome back, into your third year at The Colls – how pleased are you and what played a factor in your return?

I’m very happy to be back for my third year. The club as a whole has so much potential and is on the up. There are so many fantastic people within the club driving this and with a great, ever growing fan base – who support us home and away!

The team last was as strong as it has been possibly in the clubs history, how key is it that a large number have you have been retained?

It was very important Jim secured most of last year’s squad, as overall we had a successful season winning the county cup and getting into the play offs. As well as this, with a year under our belts of playing with each the lads know each others game and have built a terrific team spirit. The new additions coming in will add too this.

Now with Jimmy at the helm, yourself and Jack will lead the side again this year, what will you be looking to achieve as a group?

I’m looking forward to getting going and working with Jimmy, his management team and the lads again. After just falling short last year in the play offs, the aim must be to go one further and get promotion.
Also, last year we didn’t do as well as we would have liked in the FA Cup – compared to previous seasons where we faced Chester and then before I came to the club Halifax. So hopefully we can go well in the and get a big tie!
