Pontefract Collieries secured a second consecutive victory with a thrilling 3-1 win over Liversedge in the West Yorkshire Derby, in front of a crowd of 257 at The Hunters Stadium.
Jack Boyle opened the scoring in style, firing into the top corner from a tight angle. Despite enjoying plenty of possession, Liversedge struggled to create clear chances, but they earned a lifeline with a second-half penalty. However, Ponte’s goalkeeper, Will Mitchell, produced a crucial save to maintain the lead.
Louie Chorlton, returning to the starting lineup, doubled the advantage, reacting quickest to his own shot that rebounded off the post.
Liversedge captain Joe Walton pulled one back, but substitute Kieron Ceesay sealed the win, calmly finishing inside the box to complete the 3-1 scoreline.
Goalkeeper Will Mitchell was awarded Player of the Match for his performance between the sticks, on an afternoon he made a number of key saves for The Colls.

It was a blood and guts encounter that we could have lost. Ponte did well to win this but the scoreline flattered us. A player of the match performance by our goalie kept us in the game.
