The eagerly anticipated fixture release date arrived yesterday, leaving us more excited by the start of the season than we were already. Colls fans are to be treated to a local derby on the open weekend, as Ossett United are guests to The Regional Electrical Services Stadium (Saturday 14th August). This is then followed by a trip to Pickering Town, Cleethorpes Town at home, Dunston away and finishing August with a Bank Holiday Monday fixture at home against Liversedge.
September starts with an FA Cup tie against either Goole AFC or Sunderland Ryhope before hosting Lincoln United. The Colls then take to the road with back to back away fixtures against Brighouse Town and then Worksop Town. They end the month with two home games against Stocksbridge Park Steels (which could be rearranged due to FA Cup commitments) and then our FA Trophy tie with Yorkshire Amateurs (This will see the Bridlington Town fixture being rescheduled).
October looks to be a much quieter look on paper, however cup runs could see an action packed month either side of fixtures at Marske United then home to Tadcaster Albion.
As the Colls begin to head into the winter period we begin November with a trip to Shildon followed by Hebburn Town heading in the opposite direction the week later to face us at The Regional Electrical Services Ltd Stadium. Colls then return to the road in a West Yorkshire derby at Yorkshire Amateurs before finishing the month at home to Stockton Town.
December then sees four Yorkshire based fixtures, first a trip to The Home of Football in Sheffield FC. Pickering Town away, before an away West Yorkshire Derby at Ossett United. A Post Christmas Bash sees us host Frickley Athletic.
January starts with a New Years Day trip to Liversedge, followed by a seaside journey to Bridlington Town. The month ends with a home fixture against Marske United before a third away game of the month at Tadcaster Albion.
Moving into February the Colls start with a home tie with a home fixture against Shildon before traveling north to Hebburn Town, the last visit saw Ponte prevail on penalties in the FA Cup. This is followed by a home game with Worksop Town which will see the first return of Craig Parry and number of Ponte’s former players. Ponte finish February with a trip to Stocksbridge Park Steels.
As the business end of the season hits Ponte begin March with a West Yorkshire derby hosting Brighouse Town. Leading on to back to back away games at Lincoln United and Stockton Town respectively.
We then finish the season with an action packed April. Starting at home to Yorkshire Amateurs, away to Cleethorpes Town, home to Dunston then finishing with Yorkshire clashes first away to Frickley before ending the season at home to Sheffield FC.
