We are delighted to confirm the return of midfielder Cody Cromack following the end of his agreement with Tadcaster Albion. The deep-lying midfielder adds more experience and competition for places in the spine of Craig Rouse’s team.
Cromack started this season with Tadcaster Albion, where he has scored a couple of great goals in his short spell. He joined The Brewers in the summer following a two year spell at Worksop Town, whom he joined upon leaving The Colls in 2020.
We caught up with Cody to discuss his return to Ponte…
Welcome back Cody, a return to The Colls after a bit of time away. Tell us how pleased you are to be back?
Yes I’m very pleased to be back at the club and amongst the lads.
You are reuniting with Rousey and most of the squad from when you were last here, how key is knowing their style of play for your return?
It helps knowing their style of play from playing here previously and I like the way they do play. They’re aggressive and also good with the ball which suits my style of play.
Would you say you have changed as a player since your first spell at The Colls? And if so what have you added to your game?
Yes I’ve changed as a player from I was last here, as I was only young then. Now I’ve played many games at this level and have much more experience than I did. I’ve been vice captain and captain recently so I’m more of a leader now.
The boys have started well (unbeaten in the league so far), is the goal to build on the previous successes you had with the club?
The goal is always to be as successful as I can when playing football, I feel like coming back to Ponte is definitely the right thing to do as I know how successful this club can and will be.
