The boys are enjoying a bit of a break before returning for preseason, how have you enjoyed being back at The Colls over the last month or so?
The last eight weeks being back down at the club has been great, I’ve really enjoyed it and being back to some sort of normality after a tough year for everyone. Everyone has settled in and it’s as though I’ve never been away from the club. It has also been great to see the volunteers again, who continue putting the hard work in, for us to be ready to go again next season.
We put together some good performances remaining unbeaten, how confident are you with the squad Rouse has put together ahead of the new campaign?
We are looking towards the next campaign and I’m feeling confident with the side we’ve put together. Especially after how we have performed and gelled together as a side, in such little time it looks positive. After the league was confirmed yesterday, it certainly looks a tough league but I’m sure we will give our all and will be looking to push for the play offs and to be as far up the league as possible.
With spectators allowed back in grounds how much are you looking forward to the first game back with the fans?
To get fans back into the ground to watch us will be class, all we’ve heard is positivity and people looking forward to next season. It was an odd year last year for fans and they didn’t get the results they we have liked last year. However, we are looking forward to getting the atmosphere buzzing around the club again and the first home game will be the one I’m looking forward to!
