We caught up with the returning ‘Bax’ to discuss his return and to get some words from the man himself on what’s to come from him.
Welcome back to The Colls Bax, tell us what excited you to make a return?
I am delighted to be back. Enjoyed my time here previously and really felt like that team would of gone on to win the league if it wasn’t for the pandemic, so would like the chance to have another go!!
You’ve worked with Craig Rouse a couple of times now, what is it about his style that you think suits your game?
He likes front foot attacking football and always go into every game to win which is what I’m all about too.
In your last spell with us you chipped in with some vital goals, is this something the fans can expect going into this season?
I hope so. I had a decent scoring season last year and got double figures with Worksop Town and Sheffield FC combined, so that’s the expectation again next year for myself.
Finally, you saw the atmosphere on the final day of last season. How much are you looking forward to getting back on there for your second debut?
When with Sheffield FC we knew Ponte would always be a tough place to go to and win a game of football, so I’m looking forward to being back in the Ponte team and getting in folks faces when they come to play us and hopefully keep creating a buzz around the place when we win games of football!
