“A combination of committed defending and clinical finishing saw a good Collieries side register a dominant home win against Tingley.
Playing their first match at the new Aspire facility, the team were not overwhelmed by unfamiliar surroundings and quickly shifted through the gears taking a 4-0 lead into half-time.
It was more of the same in the second half, with the boys not getting carried away by the scoreboard and remaining professional to the final whistle.
As impressive as the finishing was the shape and discipline of the defence, whose reliability laid the foundation for the result.
The performance will give the team confidence heading into the first game of the season away at Goole Town Tigers JFC next week. UTC!”
