After the announcement of Lloyd Allinson’s arrival at the club we caught up with the man himself to discuss his move. He was available for last Saturday’s game with Sheffield FC, before our late postponement but he will be in the matchday squad for today’s game.
Welcome to The Colls Lloyd, what made you want to join the club?
The manager Craig was a big influence on me joining the club. I didn’t know him before but after speaking to him on several occasions and doing my homework on him myself, it was an easy decision to come to Pontefract.
As a keeper how would you describe yourself to the fans that may have never seen you before?
I’d like to think I’ll be a presence, an experienced voice behind the back line and someone who can make plenty of saves.
What are your goals both individually and as a team going forward for the rest of the season?
Personally my goal is to come in and cement the shirt and hopefully I can do that with good performances. As a team we need to start picking up points and climbing that table, to where I believe we should be.
