The club are delighted to announce the return of goalscorer Vaughan Redford.
Vaughan rejoins after a successful year at Worksop Town, where he finished last seasons curtailed league as their top scorer.
We also spoke to the man himself after he bagged a brace in yesterday’s friendly match.
Two goals on your return today, what’s it like to be back?
It felt good be back around the place again and I enjoyed having a good craic with the lads, that’s what its all about.
You’ve rejoined a number of old teammates, what was the main reason why you wanted to return?
The main reason I joined is due to new work commitments and its only 5 minutes travel for me but a big reason is being able to play football with mates.
What are your personal and team goals for the season?
My personal aim is to score as many goals as I can and help the team win as many points as we can. I believe the team goal is to be up and around the top of table. I feel ‘Rousey’ has created a good squad and we can do well.
And finally do you have a message to supporters, who were delighted at yesterday’s news of your return?
I’d like to thank them for the support that they’ve shown me and we’ll make sure that the good days will be back!
