The club are delighted to confirm Derry Robson as the latest addition to the Ponte ranks. The combative midfielder has joined the club from fellow NPL side Belper Town.
Robson has played against the Colls on numerous occasions in the past, he will add key experience and competition for places in the centre of midfield.
We caught up with the man himself to discuss the move.
Welcome to Ponte Derry, how pleased are you to be joining the club?
I’m really pleased to have signed, it’s a club that’s been on the up over the last few years with promotions and play off finals. With all the good stuff going on off the pitch as well, it seems like a great place to play football.
You’ve played against Ponte a number of times in recent years, how have you found it being on the opposing side?
Tough. You knew what type of game you was in for before you arrived! A hard working team that had a lot of quality players.
What will you bring to The Colls squad?
I would say I am a hard working midfielder that will chip in with a few goals hopefully!
Do you have a message to supporters?
I just can’t wait for football to be back, I think it’s a great squad we are getting together and i expect us to be in the mix for promotion. It has been a tough year for clubs without crowds and now fans are allowed back in, I hope we can give you all something to cheer about.
